Gardner was pinch hit for in the bottom of the 5th so his night is over. Drew Anderson picked up a single for the Lookouts in that same frame, but he was left stranded on the bases.

    Gardner: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 5 SO, 0 HR, 6 GO/2 FO

    Anderson: 1-2, BB
    Janish: 0-1, BB

    Bolivar: 1-2, 2B
    Godwin: 1-2

Asadoorian is on the mound now for the Lookouts, and it's still 1-0 Chattanooga with the game now in the top of the 6th inning.

Maybe he didn't have time to warm up. He was playing catch with one of the Narron's after today's game.

That's what I was thinking. Maybe they feared facing Hager would mess with his swing.

Bats announcer says Johnny Narron is making the trip with Josh to AAA.

    Reds aren't taking any chances.

Joey Votto with a bases loaded 2-run single. Man he is good. 4-0 Louisville still in the 3rd. Votto's hit was to leftcenter field...It seems like the majority of his hits are to the opposite field. That is great to see.

    Bottom 3

Homer jumps ahead 0-2 on the first batter with a called strike and a swing and miss, followed by four straight fouls and then a groundout to SS. 1 out.

Next batter takes a ball, strike one swinging, strike two swinging, and strike three swinging. Third strikeout for Homer.

Jerry Owens the leadoff hitter steps in. Called strike one, ball low, foul for strike two, double to LF. Second hit off Homer.

Perez steps in. Strike one swinging, groundout to Votto.

    Bailey: 3 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K, 32 strikes, 9 balls.
