Gallen after seeing your roster. I have to ask how many keeper players are protected each year? Second of all if you can I would defintly start poaching young players and cutting your losses on some of the long term dead weight on your roster.

It is currently 6 players but a vote will be made to see if it can go to 8 players. What players do you like for my keepers or what players you suggest I try to poach?
I dropped Ryan Freel and Moisis Alou for Melky Cabrera and Chris Ray. Hopefully that helps my team plus I activated Hamilton from the Dl. This is my new roster.

I think you have a great roster. Here are the players I would keep.
Roy Oswalt
Aaron Harang
Adam Dunn
Derrick Turnbow
Josh Hamilton
Brandon Phillips
if they let you keep 8 then my 2 more are:
Ryan Zimmerman
Derek Jeter
I may be a little Reds biased.
Thanks for the advice GoReds33. Its hard to keep a balnce of piching and offense plus seeing who might be available in draft. How did you decide between Phillips over Zimmerman and Jeter? I am interested in getting all the info I can get. Thanks.
I think that Phillips has years of tremendous production ahead of him. I decided against Jeter because I think his stolen base numbers will go down. I really like Ryan Zimmerman, but an equal replacment is not tremendously hard to find. He's an above average hitter with descent power numbers. Sounds like about 150 MLB players. Honestly, I would like to keep your whole roster. I think Zimmerman and Hamilton might be interchangable. I think that Hamilton's power will be above average, as will Zimmermans overall hitting. I just gave hamilton the benefit of the doubt because he plays for the Reds. Rickie Weeks has had a horrible year. I think he would be fairly easy to get next year. Jeter and Phillips I think will have similar seasons. The only difference, is that Jeter will do that on the way down.
Thanks Goreds33. I like the reasoning you gave. I have to agree with that.
This is my current roster. I added Scott Baker and cut kas. See what you or anyone thinks of the roster now. Should Baker be considered as a keeper?

Baker was dominant last night huh? Gosh, he's a beast. I would try to keep him. Any news on how many you will be able to keep?
I haven't heard yet. How would you rank the players for keepers? Last year was 6 players a request was made for 8 but haven't heard yet.
The league will only keep 6 Keepers. Who would you Keep? I will be picking 4th as I finshed 11th out of 14 teams.

Jeter, Phillips, Dunn, Harang, Oswalt, Zimmerman/Ray
If your in a 14 team league Jeter will be a huge keeper. There isn't any more than 4 or 5 shortstops better than he is. Plus a .325 average isn't easy to come by with decent power and RBIs. There Harang and Oswalt seem like musts because pitchers will be an even bigger priority in a large league like this. I'm usually against keeping a closer since its only one stat affected, but the 14 teams league makes me consider Ray pretty hard. Phillips and Dunn for obvious reasons. Phillips is your best fantasy position player I'd say. .280ish30/100/30 is beastly. I don't agree with Hamilton at all. You can't even guarantee me he's going to start for the Reds, plus stay healthy. Reds fans seem to be biased towards Hamilton in fantasy
Thanks StephenK29. I like your reasons for the Keepers.
I can pick 6 Keepers out of this roster. Who would you keep?
