Good stat, Matt, thanks for posting.

Saarloos is right, he's not the problem, he's only 2/9 of the problem.

When is Milty due off the DL, and is there any indication if he'll ever be back in a Reds uni again?

The white sox had something similar in 2003, their fifth starters combined to not get a win for almost the entire season.

    Dan Wright 0-7 6.85 15 starts
    Josh Stewaart 1-2 5.96 5 starts
    Neal Cotts 1-1 8.10 4 starts
    M. Porizo 1-1 6.43 3 starts

giving them a 3-11 record from the 5th spot

At least it gives us something to shoot for

Rotoworld reports he is "a few weeks away".

Eric Milton (elbow) threw from around 120 feet prior to Monday's game.

Milton will work up to throwing off a mound in the next week. He is still a few weeks away from returning from the disabled list.

Even the Reds management is probably repeating that line (well, until they see Sarloos again, perhaps)

There's a guy who's "not ready" in AAA who could do better than this crap....and continue to improve in the process

Why start his clock for a lost season?

Why not? He's dominating AAA...raise the bar, challenge him on the highest level.

That's what (were told) it's all about, not about money, not about arbitration...not about any of that.

Well, if WK's not going to worry about arbitration, service time, I will. Hold off until after July 1.

If that's what they're doing, tell us that....say it's a business move, because we can see a lot of the same reports that they do.

Don't act like we're stupid....the "he's not ready" argument doesn't hold much water for me anymore.

Because he'll be expensive earlier if we call him up.

and IMO he still isn't ready.

I thought he was doing well, but not quite "dominating?" Isn't he still having some issues with his control?

If he is dominating, then perhaps throw him to the wolves, but if they skip the 5th starter much, I'm not sure I want Homer in that role.

No front office will admit to manipulating the arbitration clock. Too risky with union issues and all.
