The Reds farm looks to be in a bit of a systemwide slump from the key prospects.

Cueto gets ahead 0-2 on Owens and then allows a 2-2 single. Perez K's swinging. 5 K's for Cueto.

Justin Turner is looking just fine. Bailey, Bruce and Votto are doing pretty well I would say. Sean Watson looks fine as well.

Cueto K's Josh Fields for the third time tonight. 6 K's for Cueto in 4.2 innings.

Bruce is struggling. Some others have stalled out. Not surprising as the season features ups and downs, but some of the "pushes" you were predicting(Stubbs in mind) have not panned out.

At 93 pitches, I think Cueto's night is done.

    Never know with Sweet though.

If I am Cueto, I am asking how the heck can I get 6k's in 5I in AAA but can't get a k/9 of 9.00 in A-ball? Bad pitching coach, slow start?

    Bored in A ball?

I came away impressed with Cueto today.

I guess we have different opinions of struggling. 3 games does not mean struggling to me. Stubbs was 6 for his last 13 coming into tonight.
