    The Evolution of a Lineup

    With all the complaints about tonight's lineup:
    Hopper 8
    Gonzalez 6
    Griffey 9
    Conine 3
    Dunn 7
    Encarnacion 5

    I thought it would be interesting to check out some lineups from the past. Let's take a look at the Reds Opening Day Lineups this millenium.

    Check out baseball-refrence.com. Nearly any boxscore you want, you can find. It's a wonderful tool, and you can find some interesting stuff.

    Some of the names on those lineups (especially the starting pitchers) are painful to looks at.
