Game Faqs finally came out with a release date for MLB Front Office Manager. It is to be released on January 26, 2009. It most likely will be my next PS3 purchase.

I've been playing lots of COD World at War and Dead Space lately. Both fantastic games. Dead Space gives me the chills continuously so I can't play it for too long in one sitting.

And I've been getting some time in playing Civ Revolution with all the DLC they've had available over the last month. New maps, new scenarios, new artifacts - all reasons to keep playing it.

I also signed up for to be a early tester of the new Xbox Experience and after a few days with it, it's a welcome change. I really could care less about the Avatars, they aren't as customizable as I would like, but the interface has really been cleaned up and streamlined so that's a huge plus.

Getting NBA 2k9 today and NCAA Bball 2009 on the 19th when it comes out. I might pass on World at War for a little as the CoD 4 took over my life.

What does DLC mean? I see it all the time but don't know. I suspect it stands for "downloadable content"?

    DLC = downloadable content

Norris Hopper: I'd skip the NCAA Bball game if I was you and get last year's NCAA 2K9. EA's basketball games are utter garbage. A damn shame there is no 2K9 college basketball game this season.

I've been playing Fallout 3. Game is freaking incredible.

    Won't your brother get it?

360 owners, what are your impressions of the new NXE update?

Personally, I don't like the general layout. I found the previous Blades system much more simplistic and enjoyable, but I'm sure I'll get used to this. Some of the features that it offers are very cool, so I'm looking forward to playing with it a bit.

The Avatars/Fake Mii's are a little over the top to me. But I can see they're trying to bring in more of the casual appeal that the Wii has and get rid of the 360 as a "hardcore" stereotype that tends to be out there. I'm sure I'll have some fun playing around with them anyway.

No time to keep messing with it now, just figured I'd see if anyone else had some thoughts on it.

Nah he's play an online MMO for computers (aka drugs) called Warhammer. He probably won't even see the Xbox for a year.

I'm weird and I don't really play many games. I just want to recruit mainly and then I play a few games every year, which is why I just want a college bball game because only a few recruits are needed every year -- i'm sick of getting 25 for football 09.

More on the NXE now that I've played with it a bit.

The ability to install your games onto the hard drive is a GREAT addition. It helps a LARGE amount with the noise problem normally associated with the 360. I put COD4 onto the HD just to test it out and it ran completely silently. Without the disc spinning there's no noise and less need for the fan to kick in.

The party system is awesome if you have lots of people on your friends list. You can all stay in and chat in a single server even if you're playing completely different games or watching a video or whatever it is that you're doing. I had 8 people in mine at one point, and while it was hectic, it was also pretty cool.

The Netflix streaming seems VERY promising, although I don't see myself using it much personally, since I don't have the money to subscribe.

Lots of awesome stuff in this and I've yet to really scratch the surface.

That GM game sounds great, but there is one problem: 2k makes terrible baseball games.

Did anybody else notice in the top picture that it appears the name "Francisco Cordero" is written on the whiteboard?

I guess you just have to cycle to the left a little farther...
