In spring training Dickerson (in about 10 ab's that i saw) was the most overmatched hitter i had ever seen. Now granted it was spring and it was early, but he has absolutely know business on a mlb team.
I think Cueto's taste of AAA just showed him that he'll do just fine when moved up. That may be a huge fire to light behind him - I wouldn't be surprised if he takes off in the next few weeks with some more starts like tonight.
That's wonderful, looks like the time he has spent down there has done him well. Really could have used that inning and 3 K's on the big club yesterday . Coffeybro, you know if he is doing anything differently down there? Throwing more sliders, hitting the corners with the fastball, or was it just a confidence thing?
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"
