I've been thinking about this. Would Griffey see any good pitches with this lineup? Especially with Conine batting behind him? How about Dunn with Gonzo behind him? And what of EE with Gonzo before him and Ross after him?

No wonder we're only scoring 3.2 runs per game.

If Griffey doesn't get good pitches he will walk.

I don't mind my 3rd place hitter getting on base every AB.

Conine has hit 4th behind Griffey all season vs. LH pitching, and done fine.

That usually is the case when we face a lefty. Just curious. Anyone have any stats on Conine's record in the 4 hole and Griffey's stats when he does?

    This year.

Meanwhile Mr.Dunn has a grand total of 6 at bats in the 4 spot this year and is 2 for 6.

I wouldn't say that was good or well. I'd liket o see Griffey's numbers with Conine batting behind him. From memory, and that's a stretch, he doesn't do well.

I had this whole long post prepared about the evolution of Narron's lineups in 2007...
but then I just hit delete...cause what for.

Narron is beyond repair at this point.
