The Giants just took Andrew Davis, a 3B from Kent St.

The Giants took Emmanuel Burris from Kent last year.

I think they might be going with the old American Legion theory of "if you were the SS on your team, you are the best athlete and can move anywhere..."

Interesting to see where some of these guys end up playing, if they sign.

Gaffney hit .265 this season. I have a hard time believing there are no pitchers left worth taking over him.

He's a SS, though, and that's all that matters, apparently.

I'm sure he does all the little things and knows how to play the game...

    Themes from the Reds draft:

    (1) HS catchers, lots of SS's who profile as third basemen and third basemen who profile as third basemen, and pitchers
    (2) great white north. Either loopy canadians, Pennsylvanians or Mennonites

    Round 13, Pick# 409.

    Here comes the "big splash":

Brandan Munchaca, OF, U of Delaware. (Sr)

    6'0" 195 R/R 04/15/85

    RL Nickname: Chewie

Lots of college seniors (read: easy signs) being drafted.

The Reds area scouts for Pennsylvania and Canada nust be pretty persuasive fellows...they're getting a lot of their guys drafted.
