In Round 25, Oakland picked Jareck West, a Jr. CFer for Delta St. University. It's showing it in Ohio. Never heard of it. Anyone?

Just looked it up, Delta St. U is in Missouri, which makes more sense.

Jareck himself must be from OH.

Cyclone and I just got calls that the Devil Rays are scouring local softball leagues to draft people in the later rounds.

Seems they like Cyclone's OBP and plate discipline and my uncanny ability to throw an underhanded knuckleball.
Some people play baseball. Baseball plays Jay Bruce.

Stephen Shao, from Vanderbilt just went to Colorado. That's 7, I think.

    Questions regarding options.

As a senior, if you don't sign, does the team retain his rights and what options would he have, play in an independant league and re-enter the draft next year?

HS and underclassman, since the draft and follow is no longer around, they can go back to school and re-enter the draft when eligable, but do the teams loose the rights to that player?
