Klinker -- From Lakota West, HS, West Chester, Ohio... better in 06 than 07.

    5-6 4.57 ERA

PS: Furman's head coach used to coach basketball at Middletown HS. Lots of Cincy kids become Paladins.

I go to the same HS Grimm goes to. He can fling a baseball. He got up to 94 i think this year after missing all of last year with an arm injury.

Chris Carpenter is still on the board, RHP from Kent St.
Evan Danieli, Tanner Robles, Yasmani Grandal, Greg Peavey, Kevin Rhoderick, Hunter Morris, Victor Sanchez and Patrick Johnson are also still available. I doubt any of them would sign for less than 2nd-3rd round money, though.

Around now, the teams are picking guys to fill out their rookie and short-season teams. After the mid-20s, many guys don't even get signed.

Reds did stress high school guys more than last year, as reflects the strength of the draft. Some of the early picks (the two pitchers from Canada, for example) are so young that you may not see them in the full season minor leagues for two years, or possibly even three.

I hope that the Frazier selection indicates that the Reds understand that you can't only have lefty bats. I also hope that some of the system's pitchers get moving to the higher levels because I can't watch the major league pitching staff any more. Except tonight, that will be interesting.
