    Signability matters if the kid is willing to go to college or play for an independent league for awhile. If there is a real threat he will go to college , like Sowers, or play for an independent team, it matters.

    Major league team should be able to pay a player what he is worth on the open market. But if there is a serious risk of a no-sign situation, that's a problem.
