Well, mabey it's time to allocate some of those funds towards Alexander. MLB slot suggestions be damned.

Let's just wait until midnight to despair. Maybe a couple of these top 30s will get signed today. Krivsky tends to like to sign his picks.

Do we know if any of these are going JUCO and may be Draft-and-follows?

Well, it's way past midnight, and no reports on this thread that the four have signed, so I'm assuming those four unsigned remained unsigned, thus keeping them out of professional baseball in Major League affiliated leagues until next year's draft?

I guess we will find out for sure in the morning.... but it looks like Hildenbrandt was the last guy to sign with the Reds.

So do we get a 4A pick for Stouffer next year?

I really think they should've tried harder for Alexander (unless they somehow someway made that happen).

I think you only get replacement picks for the first 3 rounds. Although 3rd round picks you only receive a supplemental 3rd round pick regardless of where you drafted a player.

    Ah, that sucks.

So I'm guessing it's confirmed that none of the other picks signed?

The Reds had 6 selections in the first three rounds and signed all of them. If Hildenbrandt did indeed sign, they inked 9 of their top 10 selections. Good job, Wayne!

24 out of the first 28 seems pretty good to me.

The other thing that sucks is that out of the 18 players total that the Reds didn't sign, 13 of them were pitchers.

This is the updated signings list for the Reds.

    http://www.baseballamerica.com/draft....php?team=CIN7

    2007 Draft: Cincinnati Reds

    Players signed indicated in Bold

Round Overall Player Position School State
    1 15 Devin*Mesoraco c Punxsutawney (Pa.) HS PA
As strong as this year's high school class was considered at the outset of the season, it got even better when high school righthanders Jarrod Parker and Nevin Griffith and Mesoraco came out of the gate showing better tools and ability than they had last summer and fall. Griffith and Mesoraco appeared in showcases, but they didn't show impact potential until this spring, and Mesoraco has been the biggest riser of them all. An arm injury led to Tommy John surgery when he was a sophomore, and he was relegated to DH duties as a junior. His arm strength has slowly returned, and this spring he has shown a 70 arm with quick, efficient releases. Defensively, Mesoraco compares favorably to 2001 Angels first-rounder Jeff Mathis, with athleticism serving as the foundation of an agile, quick-twitch player who receives and blocks exceptionally well. He shows above-average bat speed and 50-55 power at the plate. He's a solid-average runner, too, rounding out a legitimate five-tool package that probably won't make it out of the first round.
