He could fill a spot in AAA. You know, so Votto can play 1B everyday.

Votto's not playing LF out of necessity. They have plenty of people down there who can play LF. They are doing it for other reasons.

Judging by their roster, they have two OF, Edwards and Dickerson, because Crosby is hurt and Wise was with the Reds and hasn't gotten back to AAA yet. So they certainly appear to have a shortage.

Both Keppinger and Bannon can play the OF. Votto was playing LF sometimes before Wise was ever called up from AAA.

I noticed that. Seems like foolishness to me, considering he's supposed to be working on his 1B defense.

Valid point, but I put to you this thought . What if the prospect coming from Oakland is known and this close to the majors prospect is a 1st basemen with far better defensive skills than Votto? It is just speculation but then agasin you never know.

Or what if they are looking to trade Adam Dunn? Then if Freel still isn't ready to come back LF is your best place to play Votto this season with Hatte and Conine at first.

Don't know about his defense, but Daric Barton is the A's AAA 1B. He has good on base skills but has shown practically no power these last two seasons.

We can always use a reserve outfielder. Id rather see him in the outfield than Conine.

Brady Clark just does not help this team out. He just doesn't do anything different that the reds don't currently have. I think its interesting that people are even thinking about picking this guy up.

We have yet to see Conine in the OF, so why do you think we will see him there anytime soon?
