One for the Reds to hire: Eddie Murray as hitting coach

Was just fired by the Dodgers. His team led the NL in hitting last year.

Girardi and Murray ? Oh yeah I can see them both pining away to be part of the Red's franchise . Not trying to be overly negative but I have to believe they may get better offers.
    2006 Redzone mock Draftee's- 1(st) Daniel Bard(redsox), 1(st sup)( Jordan Walden (Angels), 2(nd) rd.- Zach Britton(Orioles), 3(rd) Blair Erickson(Cardinals), 3(rd) Tim Norton( Yankees),(cuz its a Tim Hortons thing

Would Eddie Murray help our hitting or is Jacoby alright?

Murray would be good. But you have to wonder why he's been let go in the middle of the season by a few teams now. Especially teams that were doing "decent" at the time he was let go.

Where ever he go's he plays the race. I got this from someone in the Cleveland org. a few years back.

    Re: Hitting

I'd just be great to have Chambliss back...Jacoby hasn't really done nothing for me with this team.

Only Griffey is really hitting better than the last few years...and you can't really put that on anyone but Griff getting back into his groove along with natural talent.

Performing worse this year than past few years under Chambliss:
    Freel
    Ross
    EE

    About same:
    Hatt
    Conine
    Dunn
    Phillps (hard call on Brandon)

How is Dunn performing the same?

So Dunn is a tad better in 2007, but not appreciably any different. On base a bit less, slugging a bit better...appears to be a net wash thus far.
