Former Reds #1 pick gets 1000th RBI (in minors)

Chad Mottloa just smashed down the door to the 1000 Minor League RBI club. And to think, we could have (should have) had Jeter instead. :-)

    Is this a big club?

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:

They didnt mention the 35 unforgettable games he played for the Reds in 1996.

You know you have sunk to new depths when writers dismiss you as a big league club - especially when it is your club which originally drafted the player.
    Crash Davis would be proud.

You know, Mottola's had a good baseball career. It may not have been a major league career, but it's been a quality baseball career despite that. He may have been the best player in AAA in 1999 and 2000. And he played some dynamite baseball back in 1993 with Winston-Salem when he made Reds fans everywhere dream of a prototype RF coming up through the system (a role since reprised by Austin Kearns).
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.
