    I'm surprised that Woodie didn't try to defect some time during the game.
    By the way Fryman he should have defected before the game. That's really a pretty strong lineup the Expos put out there. IIRC Warren Cromartie was a pretty good player who went to Japan and was star over there. The Reds just didn't have the pitching in 77 to stay with the Dodgers.

    Nope. Freddy Garcia pitched 8 innings of 3-hit ball, striking out 7 and walking none. Then Kazuhiro Sasaki pitched a scoreless ninth for the save, allowing 2 hits and striking out 1.
