    Who was the Reds starting first baseman on Opening Day 1987??

    If my memory serves me correct.. it was none other than Terry Francona..

    My grandpa used to talk about that opening day because they score 8 or 9 runs in one inning... My memory also tells me Nick Esasky(sp?) was the first baseman for most of the year though.. like 120 of the games..

    Esasky was always one of my favorite Reds.
