    6/19/07 Minors Updates--Busy Night

-There will be 8 Dayton Dragons in uniform tonight for the Midwest League All-Star Game. Starters include 2B Justin Turner, SS Chris Valaika, 3B Juan Francisco and RHP Sean Watson. For those of you with milb.tv, it will be on.

-Jay Bruce yesterday was named Florida State League Player of the Week for June 11-17

-Ben Jukich takes the ball for the Sarasota Reds tonight. He was the 2nd PTBNL in the Denorfia for McBeth deal

-Billings and GCL Reds begin their seasons tonight. GCL played at noon, but I have yet to find a box score.

Hopefully tonight is Sean Watson's last appearance in the Midwest League. I would like to see him promoted to Sarasota or Chattanooga for the second half.

It wouldn't surprise me if we see alot of players in different spots come Thursday. I can't wait to see him pitch on TV tonight. I'm regretting not going to the MWL All-Star game which is in Kane County about a 45 minute ride from my house.

My 2006 Reds Prospect Draftee from Venezuela Jose Gualdron went 2-3 today for the GCL Reds in his first game in America. He is a 19 year old infielder.

Jukich's numbers don't look that bad, considering he play in the CA league. K's about 1 per inning, guess he should be in AA with his age, but still, not a bad throw in.

Last time Kane County hosted the MWL all-star game, Austin Kearns and Adam Dunn played, as did notorious Reds killer Bill Hall.

I was wondering why the boxscore wasn't updating.

    That's an impressive start.
