I try to drink as little of it as possible during the day. I have to read some *very* dry stuff at work and a jolt of caffeine is necessary so I don't fall asleep.

My workplace does sell Starbucks, but they make it with tap water which completely kills it. Starbucks drip coffee is nasty made with good water, so you can imagine what it's like made from Wright-Patt water straight from the faucet. I think they roast their beans 18x longer than necessary.

French press coffee is the best but too labor intensive. Oh, and if it's not fair trade, I'm not drinking it.

I do the same as you. I have an automatic coffee maker that I set the night before. It's made when I get up. Put it in a thermos and take to work. I'm hooked on coffee so I drink more than I should but getting up at 4:45 am does that to you.
I have found that Starbucks coffee is a very good laxative for me when I need it.

I like Dunkin's coffee, too. But none near me on my way to work.

You can't really live in Philly!

There's practically 1 on every corner!

At least where I lived in Philly, anyway.

Nope. Not where I lived; though I had a fairly brief commute. Though there is one fairly close to our new place. I just drove past it the other day.

I used to live on Street Rd up in Warminster. At least 4 on that stretch of asphalt alone.

I also briefly lived on Bustleton. Seemed there was one every other block.

Like Tim Horton's in Buffalo. One on every block it seems and each one with a line of cars into the street in the morning. We always joke that Timmy's coffee is Buffalo crack...of course I write this sipping from my medium Tim Horton's cup.

If coffee tasted like it smelled, I'd drink it.

Unfortunately, coffee tastes like feet. Dirty, burned feet.

I love coffee but I only drink about 4-5 cups a week. I'd imagine they way I like it would be way too strong for most folks. Most the time when I go to a coffee place I'll get a cup of coffee with an extra shot of espresso in it. (often called a 'depth charge' or a 'red eye')
School's out. What did you expect?

Oh man Peets is so good. There used to be a small little coffee chain out here in the north bay called Deaf Dog that I liked even more, however one thing about them used to bug me is that they used styrophoam cups. Unfortunately a combination of bad luck and inability to compete with Starbucks caused them to go under. Now Peets gets all my business, that is when I buy coffee generally I just make my own at home.

Re: Where Do You Get Your Morning Coffee?

Last summer, I was visiting my sister, and we went shopping for a bit. While we were out, she asked if I wanted to go to Starbucks ... I didn't, but I knew she did, so I was kind of noncommital ... tried to say "no" without saying "no."

There was no line ... so she walked right up and ordered. I was looking for something I might want. She ordered a "blah blah" something with an extra shot of something. So I just said ... "I'll have what she had without the extra whatever."

Still don't know what I ordered.

    She has Starbucks every day.

Starbucks burns a hole in your stomach.

I prefer Caribou Coffee, but there's not one on my way to work, so I usually stop at Starbucks.

Grande Vanillia non-fat, no foam latte.
I will send it back if there is foam.

Foam is not manly. Foam takes the place of extra coffee.

    Foam bad.

Not unless you get the extra shot (or two, which I recommend at SB's)

I am in touch with my feelings, you heathen.

Besides, it's not like I like sugar-free vanillia.
