Peter Gammons said George Brett got picked off first after hitting a single for his 3000th.

The guy who filled in for Cowherd, Jason Smith (?), I think.

And I thought Kuselias this morning was questioning whether he should be in the HOF when he was talking to Gammons.

I can't wait unitl he's inducted into the HOF -- because it will mean that I'll have been able to enjoy 5 seasons without having to watch him bat against the Reds.

I think Kuselias was doing a bad job of trying to fabricate a debate where there was none to be had.

Makes me think of when Aaron Boone get ejected from his MLB game in 1997. Not that your 1st game is the same as getting 3,000 hits. But a memorable occasion brought down a notch by an ejection.

Always enjoyed his game. Rob Alomar as well. Scrappy--the productive kind. Congrats Beej.

Hopefully we get to see Craig get plunked at least four more times before he hangs up the cleats. That would move him ahead of Hughie Jennings for #1 all-time on the HBP leaderboard.

Boy, if Astrobuddy could see this thread now. I believe he predicted a Biggio HOF induction right before he mentioned the same for Jason Lane.
