    catching prospects

I know we drafted 4 or 5 catchers last year, I was wondering who is the most promising of the bunch or was a pleasant surprise? Also who should I keep an eye on in the future?

    Re: catching prospects

Well, obviously Devin Mesoraco is the most promising of the bunch. He went 15th overall in the entire draft and has all the tools you would want out of a catcher. His numbers were pretty ugly this year, but they weren't as bad as they look at first glance. He also played most of the year with 2 injured thumbs.

Honestly after him though, I don't know how many of the other guys are promising, but surely they all warrant at least keep an eye on until they prove otherwise.
