There are no dumb questions. So feel free to ask anything. I have learned a lot over my years on this board. Plenty of knowlegable folks on here that will help you out.

Hello. My name is Rick Powell from Syracuse, NY. Reds fan since I was a kid but I have never been to a home game in Cincinnati. Until this weekend!
I am making the drive from Central New York to Cincinnati on Friday to catch that evening's game & tribute to the Big Red Machine as well as Saturday's tribute to Pete Rose.
Any suggestions for things to see or do inside or out of Great American Ballpark?

    Rick

Probably too late, but I hope you went to the Newport Aquarium! My favorite place in the Cincy area outside of the ballpark.

    Re: Introductions Thread

It's been a while so I figure I should re-introduce myself. My name is Michael and after I made ORG I went through a very bad stretch of unemployment, and it was one of the factors that led to my absence from the forum for about 5 years. I'm currently working in a call center and income issues are no longer a worry. I might read more than post for a while, just to get up to date with the changes in the Reds recently. After that, I should be more of a regular poster on the forum.

    Re: Introductions Thread

Hello everyone. I've been a member of this forum for 3 years and thought it was about time that I introduced myself.

    * I've never posted before.
    * I've been a lifelong Reds fan. My dad was a huge Reds supporter, so it's no surprise that being a Reds fan came naturally.
    * I was born in '76 and went to my first Reds game in the summer of '79. Not quite 3 years old, so I don't remember it (but we have pictures!!!).
    * I'm here to interact with other like minded folk who are willing to stick by the team through thick and thin.
    * I won't be confrontational. I just like good discussion and I believe that everyone's opinion has merit. I may not agree with it, but your opinion is your opinion and I love hearing everyone's take.

Anyway, thanks for letting me join and I'm so pumped for the season to get going. It's going to be another long and tough season, but I feel progress will be made and it will be great talking with you all through all the ups and downs.

Feel free to contact me or pm me at anytime.

    Cheers,
    Scott

    Re: Hello?

hi all, i am new to this thread. I am a Reds fan because I grew up in Ohio.
I inherited a few rare Cincinnati Reds vintage posters from my uncle including a 75 Champion poster. ( I am selling them by the way) and I am glad to be a new member here.

I am new today. Grew up in Miami County, my Dad took me to my first Reds game in Crosley Field in the early 60's when the Cardinals and Stan Musial came to town. Been a Reds fan since. Lived 13 years in Louisiana, starting in 1975. My 4 children, all born in LA, are all Reds fans. Have lived in Washington County for 30+ years, the last 28 consecutively. My user name derivation comes from the years I had a child attending Marietta High School. Each school year after that first one, at least one child received a varsity athletic letter after that first year. Baseball is my favorite sport.
