Frank Robinson is nobody. Wait til he passes Milt Pappas....then there will be much rejoicing in Cincy.

I just noticed--the Reds' Big Three HR hitters have gone deep tonight.

    Dunn (24), Griffey (23), Phillips (17).
Eric Stratton, Rush Chairman. Damn glad to meet ya.

Double switch. Hairston in to play left and Edgar Gonzalez pitching and Byrnes moves from left to right.

    Gonzalez grounds into a 6-4 fielder's choice. 6-0 Reds after 5.

That's just it, Matt; I've always enjoyed the fact that Marty is opinionated. And I'm not a huge Adam Dunn fan, either. I think he's the best player on this team, and certainly has flaws, but I wouldn't mind moving him along if they can get more talent for him.

But Marty's beef with Dunn is not like his other opinions. It's much different. And this opinion comes from a fan of Marty Brennaman's.

I don't expect that you would say anything other than to agree with Marty; I understand your employment situation (it's part of your handle, after all). I don't expect you to be neutral on this.

    But I am.

I agree with you about Hamilton.

One thing about Phillips--he has already tied his career-high in home runs, which he set last year. And it's not even the All-Star Break yet!

I said I disagreed with his Hopper statements, which I do. If they do move Dunn...Hopper is not the guy I replace him with.

However, I'm not one to say he shouldn't say them if that's what he feels....if I ever change jobs, I won't change opinions.

Does he push the issue? Sure, he probably does that sometimes, but he's frustrated just like the rest of us...he's a fan like the rest of us.....he just has a microphone in front of him. We only have keyboards

Is it just me, or does George pronounce Scott Hairston's last name, "Harriston"?

Of course, he also pronounces Albert Pujols' last name, "Pullholtz".

This is true; I think Marty cares very deeply about this team, and is as sick of the losing as the rest of us are. It's not just a job for him, I do realize that; he's never just mailed it in.

I just checked out Norris Hopper's stats. There must be a misprint somewhere. One RBI in 124 PAs. Marty sure knows his run producers.

"Good Kyle" on the mound tonight...

Hopefully, Kriv will be fielding phone calls for offers tomorrow morning!
