    Why no Dunn in derby?

I just don't get it. How come Dunn doesn't get invited to the HR derby? I believe he would have a real shot at winning. Does he get asked and declines or what? Never hear anything about him.

Probably because he was not an All Star.
And this one belongs to the Reds

Once again, Dunn has said he would not compete in the Derby unless he was named an all-star

Because you have to be an All Star to be in the homerun derby.

Hey Homer! If you can put it together, you'll put the Reds over the top....think about it.

not too worry... the Strikeout Derby picks back up on Thursday.
L.A. manager Grady Little had a bad feeling about Wednesday's game when he saw Harang and pitching coach Dick Pole walking in after Harang's warmup.

"I saw two big men," Little said. "Either could have shut us out tonight."

Howard being the defending the champ gave him the right (at least in my book) to defend his title.

Ryan Howard says " I was the 2006 Home Run Derby Champ, I get a pass." But anyone else has to be an AS.

You are correct though I would like to see some changes in this area.
Maybe invite some for just the HR aspect,in other words they would be in the HR part only.
Sort of similar to the NFL with their skills competiton.

I don't believe that Hee Seop Choi was an All Star a couple of years back. Having said that, all Adam Dunn has to do is do what all other 40+ HR guys do....make the All Star team....and he can participate.

I think the HRD participants should be chosen independent of the overall All-Stars, and should not be considered "All-Stars" if they contribute w/o having been chosen as actual "All-Stars"...

For instance, I'd LOVE to see Wily Mo in the HRD, not to mention AD.
