I have been following the Reds since the late 1940's and I have to admit I have no idea what OPS means.
Can someone enlighten me?
Thanks

OPS is On base percentage Plus Slugging percentage.
OPS+ adjusts OPS to the league and park. So 100 is average. Below 100, worse and above 100, better.
Thanks Nate. I appreciate the answer. I guess us old guys can learn something new.
