    C Trent on Jr

I wrote about Ken Griffey Jr. today. Paul Daugherty, Seg Dennison, Kevin Kelly and I talked to Griffey before the game on Sunday and I used most of that interview for today's story. One thing that didn't get in there was I asked him if he thought the move to right helped his season, "No." So, I asked if it was just a coincidence. "Yes." He obviously didn't want to talk about that.
Jr still sounds none to happy about not being a CF.

I wonder if he feels like he'd be better than Freel and Hamilton have been?

Obviously a veteran ballplayer is going to do whatever he can to help the team win. When the team isn't winning, or playing to expectations I don't think you can truly see the value in the move.
If you have a losing record at Reds games, please stop going.

I assume that is rhetorical. An athlete's ego usually makes that person the last to admit the obvious.

I could see him getting moved back to center with the new manager. It all depends on who it is and what orders have come from Wayne.

I thought they had a new manager.

BTW, Jrs numbers in RF show that he is not very good out there. Moving him back to CF would likley put him on the fast track to the DL.

I thought CWs comments on Jr hitting so well because his legs are strong and healthy is spot on. The wear and tear of not being in CF has to be a positive.

    Yup.

By the way, the whole Rosecrans article is pretty solid. It's long, so, I'll just post the link:

Not me. They already fought and won that battle, no need to do it all over.

For sure.....IMHO JR isn't even a good RF.

He should really be in left.

JR is my favorite player of all time, but you have to wonder how many runs having him in CF this year would have cost the team.

    Oh well, too bad.

At least he's not complaining about it, and just going out and playing ball, and giving it all he has.

A guy like Barry Larkin would never move positions, and he was pretty vocal about it.

I don't think you can imply that? It's not like he woudln't have accomplished what he has this year if he would have stayed in center.
