    Meh.

I have already seen too many Ron OESTER! meltdowns. I don't have any desire to see another. His intensity schtick has a short shelf-life. OESTER! always ends up bumping heads with someone and in the front office, losing his job, and flinging verbal feces on his way out of town.

Just say no to Ronnie O.

Oester hasn't worked in professional baseball since 2003
If he would be such a great leader, then why hasn't someone hired him?

    Agreed.

I wanted him to get the job back when Boone was hired, but in the years that have followed, I've soured on him greatly.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

    Good point

Guys like Oester flame out pretty fast, he probably would have been getting the boot instead of Boone back in 03

I agree, Krono, Ronnie O would have worn out his welcome by now.

He'd be as fiery as Girardi for 1/4 the price. Maybe there's a reason he's available for 1/4 the price?

    Ron Oester = Larry Bowa

I think he's got something to offer, but first he has to grow some thicker skin.
Next Reds manager, second shooter. --Confirmed on Redszone.
