Nice to see he wasn't injured, the layoff probably gave him some good rest.

Ive been saying he needed a week off for a while now. He said he had a tired arm about a month ago and well, here, take a look at the chart I made for before he said he had a tired arm and for after he said he had a tired arm.

I even saw scouts say that his sinker was not sinking like it had earlier in the year, so something was going on.... I tend to agree with you that his rest was probably a very good thing for him.

Anytime a pitcher just falls apart like that, you worry about health. He just wasn't going through bad stretches in games like Bailey, he was getting rocked 24/7.

Big guy like that with a bulldog frame, shamefull loss it would be.

    GCL Reds won 5-0.

Justin Reed went 2-4 with a double, walk, stolen base (7) and an RBI.

Devin Mesoraco went 1-3 with a walk and he played catcher so looks like he HBP was no big deal the other day.

Petr Cech went 1-1 in a PH role today, but in limited playing time he is now 5-13 on the year.

    .261/.370ish/.280ish.

He has not shown much power at all yet. 7 walks, 6 strikeouts.

I've very impressed with Mesoraco's plate discipline so far. BTW, Nefi Soto homered again yesterday also.

There is nothing wrong with Stubby's toe. He just lead off with a triple.
Don't no about his base running though. He just got picked off 3rd by the catcher.

There is a lot wrong with his toe. He has done something though because he has been destroying the baseball in July.
