    Dunn to the Brewers??? [Rumor]

    Rumors heard
The big rumor going around MLB is Dunn to the Brewers for Matt Wise, Tony Gwynn Jr., and some hot infield prospect.

Hot IF prospect better be something really good.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Cincinnati Bengals - None
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

I would hope that hot infield prospect is Ryan Braun.

It better be Ryan Braun if we're trading in division.

In this case I'm assuming MLB means "Mr. Lances Bathroom"

    Bullpen help. Joy.

I bet that rumor has some serious legs to it. Just reeks of being Krivilicious.

Why trade him within the division? This hot IF prospect better be the next Barry Larkin if this move is true.

Would not surprise me at all.

That quote is directly from his blog.

No way it's Braun, and I'm not aware of any other top infield prospects in the Brewers organization. Not sure they need any, what with Fielder, Weeks, Hardy and Braun safely delivered to the big club.

Braun's graduated to hot major league player. He's going nowhere except to possibly the playoffs and a ROY award.

The only "hot" IF prospect the Brewers have got at the moment is Alcides Escobar - a good glove, questionable bat SS who recently got promoted to AA (where he's struggled).

Though I still say the Brewers are pretty much the last team that needs another OF.

    Oh good god.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Braun to 3B, Encarnacion to 1B, and Votto to LF? A guy can dream

No way do I trade Dunn to the Brew Crew without a deal that includes Braun, Gallardo, or Hart and Manny Parra together.

I agree. It's kind of amusing, actually, the way the Dunn rumors bounce back and forth from Krivsky asking for the moon and Krivsky scrounging for castoffs. A cynical person might conclude none of these people know what they're talking about.

Re: Dunn to the Brewers??? [Rumor]

Brewers don't have much in the way of good IF prospects with Braun and Fielder past prospect status. Maybe SS Alcides Esobar, 2B Hernan Iribarren, or 3B Matt Gamel.

Escobar is a great glove guy who can't hit a lick.
Iribarren is a contact/speed guy with solid D.
Gamel is pretty much all bat, with really shaky D at 3B.

None get me excited. Wise is nice but has just 1 year left before FA. Dunn for spare parts... uggh. With Hart in RF, Hall in CF, and Menchkins in LF, where would Dunn fit? Jenkins to NYY or MN?
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

I was reading this on the Brewers message board a couple weeks ago.

Their fans didn't believe it any more than I do.
