If Jeff Conine is Mr. Marlin I want to be the first to nominate Joey Votto as Mr. Bat.

Nothing. He gets to just keep getting better seeing pitchers he has rarely seen and learning different situations that continue to be new for him.

He has the opening day 1B spot in 2008 waiting for him.
Rob Neyer: "Any writer who says he'd be a better manager than the worst manager is either 1) lying (i.e. 'using poetic license') or 2) patently delusional. Which isn't to say managers don't do stupid things that you or I wouldn't."

Maybe he has to prove that he is older than he really is.

Sarasota down 4 - 1 going into the bottom of the 7th. First two Sarasotans are retired before nine straight reach base. The big blow a 3-run shot by BJ Szy%#man(*&ki. On to the 8th Sarasota up 8 - 4 .

Johnny Brent Cueto on the mound for the Lookouts tonight. Two innings are in the books and it is all zeroes for JBC. 4 ground outs and two fly balls. No score.

Either the Reds will open a spot by dealing Conine or Hatteburg, or he'll come up in September. Until there's a spot for him to get regular ABs, he's better off in Louisville.

It seems like the GCL Reds have had as many games off as they've played.
