Whatcha gonna do, brother, when Brennemania runs wild on you!!
My prayers go out to his family and friends.
this is a sobering reminder to all baseball fans to pay attention to the game when attending in person, especially when sitting close to the field. (note: I'm not suggesting this coach was not paying attention.)
Baseball, it is said, is only a game. True. And the Grand Canyon is only a hole in Arizona. Not all holes, or games, are created equal. ~George Will
I remember Mike Coolbaugh when he played with the Indianapolis Indians and really had an admiration for the guy. He was a life long minor leaguer who finally made it to the big leagues at age 29 with the Brewers. This is sad for me because I have seen many players come thru Indy and I cant say I had any type of fondness for many of them, but I did have a certain fondness for a guy like Coolbaugh who didnt give up and fulfilled a dream of so many of us by playing in the big leagues!!
