It's a steal for the Braves, it's a salary dump for TX IMO.

I don't know about that thorn. Salty was highly regarded among the Braves' brass and many posters here on Redszone. I wouldn't mind him sitting behind the dish for my team. Plus, who could turn down a couple more pitching prospects and a highly touted SS. Looks like the kind of return I would dream for Dunn.

Now that Tex is off the market, the dominoes may begin to fall. Dunn and Dye are next by my count.

It's from Fox Sports guys, they are up there with Gammons being wrong. Don't believe it's a done deal yet.

i hope it is a done deal, because i'm tired of worrying about them trading arroyo for a catcher. I don't know how good of a trade this is for atlanta however, because they were saying on espn that with Boris being his agent teixeira is going to be demanding 20-30 mill. after his contract runs out, and in my opinion he's not even close to being worth that kind of money.

The bigger problem is that he's been saying all along that he wants to be in Baltimore. So, he's as good as gone first chance he gets.

I thought they were looking for a starting pitcher? They got a left handed reliever, but they don't seem to have got a starter.

Quite a haul for the Rangers, four of Atlanta's top five prospects. Whether it's worth it for Atlanta obviously depends on how far they make it this year and next year.

The ORG also reported that the Braves are close to acquiring Dotel as well.
