They signed Eddie House, who is a serviceable backup combo guard. Not really what I think they need, but he's a guy who can score in spurts off the bench. Word is they're looking to get Mutumbo signed at or around the vet's minimum to backup Perkins. That would be a solid move, IMO. Perkins and Mutombo would provide a lot of defense in the post, but you're not getting much offense in the paint then outside of KG and Pierce when he decides to post up.

And to the comment about KG and Pierce not doing much in the playoffs, look at the teams that they've had to work with. Garnett has been handicapped for years by the Joe Smith debacle, and Pierce made noise yearly on a team where his go to guy was Antoine Walker.

This team looks decent on paper, but with the lack of depth and the how little cap space they have(over it) they'll be a perennial playoff team, but I don't see any hardware in their futures.

Rondo will be fine. They don't need an offensive oriented PG for their team IMO. He actually really improves their team with his great defense since Pierce and Allen are subpar defensively.

That big Wang guy is possibley the worst player to ever sniff the NBA. I'm not sure why anyone would EVER want him on their team, but there are plenty of better ideas out there.

PJ Brown would be a great player for them, not sure if he has signed yet or not ???

Pierce and Allen are adequate defenders, nothing great, Allen's bad knees compromise him a bit though.

PJ wants the full mid-level exception, so he's probably priced himself out of their range.

I'm still upset they let Allan Ray go the other day.
