Retail boxes don't have a guaranteed autograph in them. Hobby boxes do.

I can't find it listed as an error card. You might send an e-mail to Beckett or even Topps themselves and see what they say.
One of five red refractor looks like. Decent pull for just picking up a pack.

His name was actually Johan Santana up until a couple years ago when they found he was actually a little older than he reported and that his real name was actually Ervin, instead of Johan. That may have something to do with it.Nice collection BoydsofSummer.

That would be the reason. That facsimile autographs that Topps uses on these cards are the signatures from the contract the player originally signed with Topps, so that certainly explains this one.
