I want to complain about the lineup, but really does it matter? Could it really be any better? Sure flip Dunn and Conine, but big deal right?

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:
    Cincinnati Reds - 75, 76, 90
    Chicago Blackhawks - 10, 13, 15
    University of Kentucky - 78, 96, 98, 12
    Chicago Bulls - 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98

Not really. I have a feeling more people will be in the minor league update thread than the game thread again tonight anyway.

You know if Dunn said he was a switch hitter with the same splits he has he'd be batting cleanup a lot more.

You'd think averaging less than 3 runs a game over the last dozen would cause a change in philosophy about lineup construction...especially with a weapon like Adam Dunn.

But, if you're happy with his .729 OPS in the 5th hole...fire away.

He did...he moved Phillips out of the cleanup spot and inserted Conine.

I like Phillips moving to 2 better, but Conine isn't a cleanup hitter.

And why not move Ross and his 815 ops to the 6th or 7th spot, ahead of Gonzo's sub .600? Ross needs protection, Gonzo does not benefit by it.

Better. You've got my vote for '08 Manager Matt.

That probably wasn't the luckiest way to start your major league debut.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Sounds like Freel just gave Dumatrait's debut a kick start. Single, walk, single to center, Freel throws out Lopez at home.
