The GM certainly must not tamper with anyone under contract. However, there are not many surprises out there. Forget about Girardi, Tony, and BB. They have nothing to offer this team.
I think LaRussa might help. Maybe he would be a little pricey. I think Mackanian has done a fine job. Is it fine enough to get the job? Who knows?
If we can get back to 500 ball by the end of the season,I say give him a shot.
I created a poll earlier where I held a vote on who should be the Reds next manager. I have already voted, but I think I will post on that poll tomorrow.
Will Mackanin me our manager next year? Man I hope not!
The Reds love interm managers

I really dont understand what is going through his head lately
Looks that he is trying to hard to win the job. As for me I wish we would get Brenly but probably not. I would like to even see Hatcher bring back the 90 reds spirit
I really have no faith in this organization to do anything smart or productive. I wouldnt be surprised if Harang is traded for Sean Marshall in the off season.
What did he do wrong today? The only thing I noticed was not pinch running for Hatteberg as soon as he reached base.

I wish we could have gotten Lou Pinella. He could have gotten this team on track. I don't just look at the manager though. Why not try to make a push for a good pitching coach? I know that if we get LaRussa, that Duncan would tag along.
-LTlabnerIf you can't build a winning team with that core a fire-sale isn't the solution. Selling the franchise, moving them to Nashville and converting GABP into a used car lot is.
