I would like to see Brenly too, if not how about Davey Johnson???
because at the end of the day, they still are the Chicago Cubs, and they will figure out a way to screw this whole thing up--Marty B.

I want to add that the managers attitudes have been very lackidazical and I think that has spread to this team over the past 6-7 years. They just don't seem to play with any heart and I think that is directly related to the manager.

I only want LaRussa if Dave Duncan comes with him. I only want Brenly if Randy Johnson, Curt Schilling, and a time machine come with him.

What I'd really like to see is an interview process where each candidate is asked questions like "Would you ever in a zillion years bat Jeff Conine fourth?" or "Do you think we should let Adam Dunn go and replace him with Norris Hopper?" Anyone who answers "yes" gets the ol' trapdoor-to-the-laser-sharks treatment. This should whittle down the candidates considerably. After that, I'm thinking Thunderdome Deathmatch.

The managerial search is starting in earnest, so I brought my poll up again. I originally voted for Joe Girardi, but now I am leaning toward Bob Brenly

The question was who do I want to manage not who is going to manage. The answer to who is going to manage is Pete because he will not demand a raise in payroll to take the job and he will work cheap.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

Don't be so quick to assume that Pete will "work cheap". Believe me, he won't. Pete will demand a higher price than the basic first year manager. He deserves it for many reasons.

Remember that Willie R. turned down a job because the offer was too "cheap."

He will work cheaper than Brenly or LaRussa and probably have less demands of ownership.
