    This was Joe Hoerner's last MLB game and apparently he caused a stir. According to Retrosheet he hit Frank Tavaras in the 9th inning and Tavaras threw his bat at him and was promptly ejected. At least Hoerner went out with a bang.
    BTW I can remember listening to this doubleheader and the Prates just pounded the Reds pitching. Sparky threw in the towel early in this game as he replaced a number of his starters after about the third inning.
