    question about ball park etiquette?

Went to a game a week ago...it poured rain while the game was going on.

We sat in the 2nd row, 3rd base line. The guys in front of us put up their umbrellas. They were golf umbrellas. We couldn't see around them ----at all (btw, they were cubs fans).

Here's what i was taught....if it's a woman she can have an umbrella to keep her from the rain (as long as it is not huge). I was always told that if you are a gentleman you do not open up the umbrella unless it does not obstruct a view.

So what is the proper way? I was so mad at these guys and gave some hints like -"hey, that last play sounded good"...these guys were oblivious.

Has anyone on the board heard that a woman can have an umbrella and a man should not?

Sorry if that has been posted before --just curious.

I've not heard that before, but I'm the farthest thing from a gentleman. I would've guessed that the man have an umbrella and hold it over the woman.

Umbrella's should only be used at games during actually rain delays.
The Sox traded Bullfrog the only player they've got for Shottenhoffen. Four-eyes Shottenhoffen a utility infielder. They've got a whole team of utility infielders.

My wife has been playing that song a lot and I can't get it out of my head.
Talent is God Given: be humble.
Fame is man given: be thankful.
Conceit is self given: be careful.
