    Is Pujols already a HOFer?

Tonight during the Cardinals, Padres highlight they said two hall of famers were facing each other, referring to Maddux and Pujols and in the same sentence got excited about Pujols 832 hit. Sure Pujols is good, but shouldn't he have to put up 5-6 more years of his previous numbers to be HOF worthy? I mean, if his career ended now I certainlly dont think he'd be in the Hall, certainly not automatic. I dunno, thats just me, and yes I despise the Cardinals but he is the only one that I really do like, I'm not hating on him, for the record
Hey Homer! If you can put it together, you'll put the Reds over the top....think about it.

My guess is they meant certain future HOFers, as Greg Maddux isn't currently in the HOF either.

yes, certainly, but whats it been 6 or 7 years he's been in the league, are his number worthy enough to say that its certain that he'll be in the HOF

If he keeps on his current pace (and there's nothing to suggest he won't) then yes, he is a certain HOFer.

In fact, I was telling my buddy last year that when all is said and done, Pujols will go down as one of, if not the, best players that ever lived.

To me he's still got a long way to go before he's in the Hall of Fame
