    Jay Bruce in Bats/Indians game

I had the pleasure of seeing Jay Bruce play tonight vs the Indpls Indians. The opposite field HR he hit looked effortless. And the throw he made to home to nail the runner on a sac fly looked like an asprin tablet. The boy can flat out play. He's already a stud, I can only imagine what he'll be able to accomplish when he matures physicallly.

I would love to have a stat on outfield assists he has. This is at least the 4th outfield assist he has had since moving up to AAA.

Thanks for the info. I havn't had the pleasure to see a full out game with him in it. I saw an intersquad game at spring training. He didn't look overly impressive. I hope to catch a Bats game soon.

If you understand and enjoy the game of baseball I think you would consder it a thing of beauty. He's worth the price of a ticket all by himself. He sure had the Indians fans around me in buzz.

I went to the day game today, Bruce is the real deal. He drilled the ball twice and stole a base. He made all the plays in the outfield and is very fast. Votto impressed me as well, he smashed the ball and looked pretty good in left making a really nice running catch on a foul ball.
When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

Maybe I can catch a two-fer and get Bailey pitching the same game. From what I have heard he has progressed excessivly fast. I wouldn't rush him to the bigs, but he seems like he may be ready. I have seen Votto play in a couple games. He didn't really impress me. The thing I liked about him is his hitting approach. He doesn't ever look overmatched, or get cheated. He has a very good swing.

Bailey rushed or Jay rushed? Either way, I disagree with it.

Which parts don't you agree with? Just wondering.

That either player was rushed. I didn't know which one you were talking about, but I don't think either of them was rushed.

It's hard to say Jay Bruce has been rushed when he has simply produced at every single level. Sure, his stay in AA was short, but that was more out of necessity than rushing him along. But to send him back down to AA now would be simply ridiculous.

So if you could go back in time, you'd call Bailey up again?

Yes. I would also keep better tabs on his groin issues which I think had just as much, if not more to do with his problems than anything else.

I wasn't saying they were rushed. I was just saying that the Reds shouldn't rush Bruce to the bigs. I meant that I wanted to catch a Louisville game with Bailey pitching, and Bruce starting.

Bailey was rushed obviously. His peripheral numbers were obvious signs he wouldn't get MLB hitters out.
This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

He didnt exactly pitch poorly. He had two very good starts, two average starts and two horrible starts. I dont think he was rushed at all I think the groin problem hindered his success.
