What are your opinions? What have you heard/read? this kinda veers into fantasy baseball as well, but I have the 2nd waiver in my Dynasty league, and want Bruce more than anything, but Buchholz just hit waivers, and I know the guy with number 1 is waiting for Barton of the A's. Should I take Buchholz, or wait if there's a better than 50% chance Bruce gets the call?
Bruce wont get the call becuase the Reds won't make a 40 man roster move just to make one. Just my opinion.

That's the way I'm leaning as well, which prob makes Buchholz the best of the remaining likely call-ups, wouldn't you say?
Yes, I would say he is the best guy that should be coming up still. With Upton already up, he is the best guy remaining that is going to be coming up. And really.... Daric Barton is worth waiting around for? He passed up Justin Upton for Daric Barton?

Ah, the upside to this one too is that I REALLY don't need a pitcher. I'm pretty well stocked there with Johan, Hamels, CC Sabathia, Escobar, and Beckett, with Putz, Jenks, Broxton, Pena, Morrow, Shields, and Rauch as my RPs. Is this a keeper league? If so, take him, hold onto him for a little bit and when Jay Bruce gets the call, I am sure you can figure out a way to get him by using Buchholz and a Red Sox fan in a 3 way trade or something.
Yeah, it's a dynasty. I keep my whole team. I'm prob gonna use Buchholz to try to land either Delmon Young (guy has no pitching, and I can offer Buchholz and a bat), or Victorino. As far as Bruce goes, I'm prob gonna win the league, and will miss getting Bruce in the draft...........my plan is to offer whoever gets Bruce, Carlos Lee straight up before next season. My team is pretty stacked, and I can afford the loss for now to add the greatest player to ever play the game.

well........buchholz clears waivers tommorrow AM......is he the one? I know he's only up for one start, and i'm having second thoughts..........any help here would be appreciated. Buchholz, or is there a better september call-up in line?
I just don't think there will be another guy called up this year with more upside than Buchholz. I would take him if I were you.
