Upon further review, I find that I also share a birthday with Harry Chadwick and Bill James.

    National holiday, anyone?

The earth stopped rotating and time stood still.

I was born on the day that Steve Carlton was the unanimous winner of the NL Cy Young award. They also started construction on the Kingdome that day, too.

I share my birthday with Pat Buchanan, Burt Lancaster, Warren G. Harding, James K Polk, Marie Antoinette, and best of all...Danny Cooksey.

    April 5th.

Falls on opening day every now and then.

But most importantly, Jay Bruce's birthday is 2 days before mine, I take pride in that.

Re: The Day You Were Born

I was born on the exact same day as Jermaine Jackson, December 11, 1954. I never had an Afro like him though

I also share my birthday with two fine Democrats - John Kerry & Tom Hayden (he of the Chicago Seven fame). Likewise Brenda Lee was born ten years before me and Terri Garr five years before.

Does anyone else think Terri Garr should play the mom in For Better or For Worse?

    Also:

In 1620, the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock.

1901 Marconi transmitted the 1st Transatlantic radio signal

1946 UNICEF was established and Hank Williams began his recording career, on Sterling Records.

    In baseball news:

1928 - The DH was first proposed by NL president, John Heydler.
1934 - Ford Frick was named NL president and the NL voted to allow up to seven night games.

1951 - Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio - Joltin' Joe announces his retirement.

The page I looked at also had a Quote for the Day, although it doesn't say why, but it seemed sort of apt for me:

When in doubt, make it sound convincing

In truth, no one really knows when he was born. It was before April 26 but not too far before, so April 23 is certainly possible. But people anymore traditionally observe it the 25th or 26th.

Shhhhh. Don't spoil things for me.

Seriously though, I've heard that for a long period of time, but I still always most typically see it credited on the 23rd in calendars and since it's mine too, I run with that one.

Championships for MY teams in my lifetime:

I looked up my birthday (6/13) on wikipedia. Here's my favorite of the events that occurred on that date.

1920 - The United States Postal Service rules that children may not be sent via parcel post.
I share a birthday with Malcolm McDowell, Ally Sheedy, and the Olsen twins.
