I'm not crazy about that , but it is a good-hitting lineup. I'd love to see him bat Edwin 3rd for a while with Griffey behind him and see if he could get his power swing back before the season is over. (Of course, I think Dunn should hit second no matter what, so what do I know?)

Brewers are reeling. A REDS win knocks them out of first place.

A Reds sweep and they may actually be able to sniff first place a little bit...(6 or 7 back?)

    How stupid is that?

There are a few guys in this lineup that totally own Suppan. I predict a big night for our charges, regardless of the lineup.

Don't want to burst your bubble, but with the Cubs playing the Cards, a sweep wouldn't get the REDS that much closer to first.

And..7-8 games behind in August is feasible, but not when there are four teams ahead.

    Sorry.

Don't worry. No bubble has burst. I still know they have no shot at anything this season...

With the Cards 3 games back, we will gain a game on first place as long as the Cards beat the Cubs.

A sweep could get us much closer.

I really think it's time for PM to move Phillips out of the clean-up spot.

That would win a lot of ballgames no matter how bad the pitching is. I couldn't see that lineup averaging less than 5.5 runs a game if they were left out there for 9 innings.
