Well, guys....rumors flying around ants that Leroi has passed away....site is shut down right now for me....but the rumors seem to be coming from reliable sources. I was going to come here and give me review of the OKC show, which I attended, but it doesn't seem right to be doing that right now.
So sad.....
I'm in shock over this and very upset. The band and their music is a big part of my life and I do not know what a summer would be like without the Dave Matthews Band. I have been getting stuff ready to make my first trek out to the Gorge in a week and a half but who knows now.
Roi was one of the biggest reasons I got into DMB. His work on #41 and Say Goodbye is unbelievable.
Is there an official word? All I've heard is rumors.

And it's up on tmz.com which is usually pretty reliable. While nothing has been said officially from the band I would be shocked if it wasn't true...especially since so many people are reporting stuff from so many places.

Wow, I just flipped over to Ants to check what the soundcheck was tonight for the show and I got this...I'm just numb.
LeRoi's work on a lot of the songs, like #41 and Seek Up are what really drew me into DMB -- moved from a guy that liked the songs on the radio to a fan who travels to shows out of state and even follows the band online.
I feel like I've lost a friend, and I never even met the man.
RIP to a musical genius.

#41 was and always will be my favorite song of all time. That song and Say Goodbye were the first two songs I really loved by DMB when I first got Crash. LeRoi was the man on both of them playing sax and flute.
I got home from a game of flag football at 7:30, took off my shirt to get ready for a shower, and clicked on the fan forums to check soundcheck before I jumped in. I saw the news and just sat at my computer for 2.5 hrs without my shirt on just numb.
I cannot believe they are gonna play the show tonight. This is all surreal.
Casey-- ants won't load for me...are they playing? I thought they cancelled?
I'm over on weeklydavespeak.com -- haven't heard about the show being canceled.
I don't know how they could go through with it. I know I'd be a mess.
