    8/22/07 Minor League updates

Saw this in the Louisville game notes and just had to share:

TODAY IN LOUISVILLE BASEBALL HISTORY: 1886: Louisville's Chicken Wolf hits a game-winning home run thanks to a stray dog tearing at Reds' Abner Powell's pant leg causing the center fielder to miss the ball.

Bats start a doubleheader at 5:35. Belisle is pitching the first game, so don't expect him to be called up for Saturday's start. Victor Santos goes in game #2.

I think Belisle will get the Saturday start. I see Ramon Ramirez started the game for Louisville.

Bats up 1-0 on Janish HR(3). Janish is now batting .303 for August with a .864 OPS.

Dickerson was pulled right before an at bat in the top of the third, with an "injury delay" right before he was pinch hit for by Luis Bolivar. Hope it's nothing serious.

Another note, even with Cantu gone, Votto started the game in RF but has moved to LF after the injury to Dickerson.
This will not change until the Reds win the World Series.......

Wait, Votto started in RIGHT field?

    That's odd.

I would assume if Votto was in right and Dickerson in left, that would make Bruce in CF.

    I would've gone Votto-Dickerson-Bruce
Domo Arigato, Here Comes Joey Votto

I am glad to see Rosales playing 3B. I was curious as to how his arm was after last years injury. I guess its not that bad if he is playing 3B.

I think Jukich was the PTBNL in the Deno trade. He's had pretty good #'s since he came to the Reds. Does anyone know what kind of stuff he has. I don't think his numbers before the trade were very good.
