Locally produced film to be shown on Fountain Square's screen

Hey folks, here's a link to a blurb my youngest brother wrote up about the showing of a film he co-wrote with our cousin's husband, Three Barbecues, A Blackened Comedy.

The showing will be Sunday night, August 26th, starting around 8:00, although there will be food from JeanRo's Bistro and City Barbecue in Hyde Park at 5:00, music at 5:30 including Mercurochrome, Ashley Shepherd and Buckra. Dylan Speeg from Buckra has a featured part in the film and they provided much of the music.

Make a day of it after Sunday's game and plan on coming on up to the Square for A Three Barbecue Night.

I should mention that while the movie is not rated, it is most likely a PG-13 type movie.

Well the big showing was tonight - a couple of hundred folks came down. Anyone else from Redszone make it to see the show?

NOTE: NOT ON FOUNTAIN SQUARE - I resurrected an old post.

I just got an email from my brother and the movie that he co-wrote and helped produce will be shown from the Southgate House on Saturday night. Folks looking for something to do after Saturday's game, check it out. As I noted in my earlier post when it was being shown on Fountain Square last year, if it were rated it, it would be rated PG-13 - it has "adult themes", as they say.

Three Barbecues is a last minute add on to the 2008 Lite Brite Test Film Festival at the Southgate House.

It will screen at 11pm on Saturday Night 7-26-08.
