    8/23/2007 Minor League Game Updates

Louisville is about to get underway. Matt Maloney makes his AAA debut.

    Anderson Machado in LF?
    Paul Janish at SS
    Joey Votto in RF?
    Aaron Herr at 2B?
    Jay Bruce in CF
    Jesse Gutierrez at 1B
    Luis Bolivar at 3B
    JC Boscan at C
    Matt Maloney at SP.

Interesting positions for some of the guys....

I find it hard to believe Votto is as bad in LF as some say if he is playing OF now.

I find it hard to believe that Mike Stanton still has a job with the Reds..... but hey, what do I know?

Matt Maloney has a strikeout, but it was a wild pitch and the runner is now standing on second after stealing the base.

Paul Janish had a single in the first for the Bats.

Abraham Nunez just destroyed a HR to CF off of Matt Maloney.

Dayton is beastly. It seems like they win every time I look at the games. I bet they could beat Sarasota.

Matt Maloney through 5ip, 3h, 2r, 0bb,7K. Bats have yet to score a run and that HR is coming back to bite Maloney at this point.

Dayton would probably get eaten alive by Sarasota.

I see Maloney has kept his K rate up, at least through 1 start

Will be interesting to see what the reports say on Maloney.... I still don't know how I feel about his future so long as he continues to top out at 88 MPH though.

He very well could be in the sense that he might be the next guy called up outside of Belisle who will be starting Saturday.
