    Bench at third today. He was in RF yesterday and for a few games preceing that one. I'm assuming he was hurting too much to catch. Unless Plummer was on some torrid hitting streak.
    Just noticed, Tim McCarver leading off??????
    This was a day of strange leadoff hitter for other teams. Besides McCarver their was Clemente for the Pirates in the 57 game and Bonds for Pirates in the 87 game. I think Bonds did lead off many times in his early years before his head doubled in size and slowed him down.
